Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb got on the scoresheet for the second time in pre-season during the 4-2 win over Chelsea at the weekend.
The Norwegian international put Pep Guardiola’s side 3-0 up 10 minutes into the second half, just prior to Erling Haaland bagging City’s fourth of the night.
Bobb not only impressed against Chelsea, he also shined versus Celtic and AC Milan, leaving many fans on X to believe he is now ready to play a key role for the first team this season:

Bobb took his chance and ran with it
With so many first-teamers missing for the tour of the United States, it has provided young players the platform to show what they can do.
Bobb was already part of the senior squad but his performances over the last couple of weeks have cemented his position. From the looks of things, he will definitely get more than the seven starts he made in all competitions last campaign.
Guardiola has confirmed which City youngsters have made the grade
Speaking after the impressive victory against Chelsea on Saturday evening, the City manager revealed that Bobb, James McAtee and Nico O’Reilly will be part of his plans for the 2024/25 season.
That is a huge endorsement for the academy as, rather than looking outside the club for reinforcements, Guardiola seems more than happy to supplement his squad with players coming through the ranks.
