Noni Madueke silenced the Wolves fans with a stunning hat-trick after they mercilessly booed him at Molineux.
That was because the Chelsea star was forced to delete an Instagram post that was meant for his private account.
Writing on Instagram on Saturday night, and tagging in the city, he said: “Everything about his place is s***.”
It was swiftly taken down from his page and he posted another message that read: “Damn wrong Instagram account… You lot are fast.”
Manager Enzo Maresca named Madueke in the starting line-up and was immediately booed when touching the ball.
The bad blood was clear to see as there was a scuffle between players shortly after Nicolas Jackson put the Blues ahead.
Madueke himself eventually got on the scoresheet to make it 3-2 in the second half, and silenced the home supporters.
He leapt over the advertising hoarding to celebrating with the Chelsea fans.
The winger scored again to make it 4-2 at Molineux and then completed his stunning hat-trick minutes later to make it five.
Madueke is perhaps a surprise starter despite speculation over his future.
He signed a seven-year deal with the club after signing from PSV in January 2023, for £28.5million.
Madueke has played 47 times for the Blues and scored 10 times.
He has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
Newcastle are believed to have shown an interest in the winger.
Before signing for Chelsea there was other interest from the Premier League.
Manchester United were among the clubs interested in him.
Speaking previously, he said: “Yeah when you are doing well there is always interest. The Premier League is the best league in the world and every young English player wants to be there.
“I am not someone who is afraid to venture elsewhere so whatever is best for my development, whichever country, I am a person who won’t be scared to take the leap.
“Ronaldo is the biggest inspiration for someone who is confident but backs it up on the pitch every time he steps out. All my idols, people like Neymar, Ronaldo, Messi and the new generation guys like Mbappe, they all play with a confident arrogance.
“That is something I like and try to implement in my game as well.”
