Yesterday, we were bemoaning the loss of Tottenham Hotspur Women midfielder Kit Graham to her second knee injury in just over two years, and wondering when, or even if, midfield reinforcements would be coming in. Today, we have at least part of the answer as the club announced the signing of Anna Csiki from Swedish side BK Hacken, who joins on a four-year contract through 2028 and will wear the #14 shirt.
We are delighted to announce the signing of Anna Csiki from BK Hacken, subject to international clearance and work permit. ✍️
Welcome, Anna!

Now, I would absolutely LOVE to tell you a lot about Csiki and what she can bring to this Tottenham Women side. Unfortunately, I don’t really know a thing about her and have never watched her play a single minute of action. But here’s what I’ve been able to glean about her from some basic research: Csiki is 24 and is a Hungarian international footballer with 21 caps and two goals for her country. She’s been at Hacken since 2020, which means her tenure has overlapped a bit with Robert Vilahamn’s leadership of the club and she’s a player whom Bob is familiar with. That said, she was never more than a substitute at Hacken during Vilahamn’s tenure.
Her stats show that she’s primarily a left winger at Hacken, but has played mostly left back for Hungary, which likely means she’s something of a utility player, a feature Vilahamn appreciates. She’s also coming off of an ACL injury that caused her to miss the whole of the 2023 Damallsvenskan, but she featured as a sub in the majority of Hacken’s 2024 campaign that finished up in July.
That’s about all I’ve got! I’d be hard-pressed to call this a signature signing based on the little I know, but Csiki is clearly a player that Vilhaman knows and trusts, Spurs need midfielders to round out their squad, and a four year contract is significant considering most WSL deals are in the 1-2 year range. She’s played for a Champions League qualifying team and helped Hacken qualify again in the season that just ended. I hope she’s good, or at least can help round out a team that’s got a giant Grace Clinton-shaped hole in it.
Welcome to Tottenham, Anna!
