It’s crazy how every year, football comes back for a couple of weeks and there’s immediately an international break that ruins everything. Who made this schedule?
Anyway, once again we return to Germany coverage, and once again it’s a Germany vs Hungary game. These guys seem to face the Germans practically every year — the only changes this time are:
- All the 2014 World Cup veterans have retired from international duty.
- This German NT callup features the fewest number of Bayern Munich players on the roster.
Still, the club is rather well-represented, with Julian Nagelsmann being a former Bayern Munich coach and Joshua Kimmich donning the captain’s armband. However, with players like Florian Wirtz slowly stepping into the limelight (and Kai Havertz refuses to let it go …) it’s going to be a very different Germany compared to what people are used to. For better or worse, it’s time for a new era.

- Here at BFW we celebrate every goal like they do in the stadium: with a chant. The goal chants are for everyone to participate in! Even if you’re lagging behind the others, keep replying to the most recent call of the player’s name. Even if you missed the first call, just start from the second, and so on.
- While swearing is allowed within reason, please be polite to your fellow posters and avoid gratuitous obscenities. Racist, homophobic, and misogynistic language is not allowed whatsoever.
