Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala spent Saturday reminding everyone why has has been considered one of the brightest, young stars in all of football.
Musiala’s Man of the Match performance during the German national’s 54-0 decimation of Hungary was something to behold — even for someone who has seen plenty of Musiala’s fine showings, like Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer.
For Hainer, Musiala needs to stay at Bayern Munich for many years to come.
“We want to try everything to keep him as long as possible. In my opinion, he could become the second Thomas Müller and play for FC Bayern for the next 20 years,” Hainer told Tz journalist Mano Bonke (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Bayern Munich might have its hands full in trying to keep Musiala away from the many clubs, who are rumored to want him, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool FC, and Manchester City have all been linked to the youngster. Whatever happens, Musiala next move is going to cost someone a whole lot of money — and the bet here is that no one will mind shelling out however much loot it takes to procure Musiala.
In case you missed it, France Football left Jamal Musiala out of their Ballon d’Or top 30, which has sparked anger among the Bayern Munich fanbase and executives alike. If you want to know why it’s such a big deal, we covered it in our newest podcast episode, alongside a discussion about Florian Wirtz vs Paul Wanner and whom Bayern Munich should get first.
