Jersey Swap: Denzel Dumfries
The obvious choice here is Dumfries. Dumfries was physical and an offensive threat all game. Dumfries even picked up the 2-2 equalizing goal.
Der Kaiser: Joshua Kimmich
The defence certainly wasn’t the highlight of Germany’s squad this game. With almost the entire backline booked within 30 minutes, the issues weren’t going anywhere. However, the new captain led the team and even found the right place to be and gave Germany the 2-1 advantage before half.
Fußballgott: Aleksandar Pavlović
Pavlović was a clear improvement to the starting midfield in this game, and made some great attacking contributions in the last few minutes of the game. The Bayern Munich youngster is a no-brainer to start in the next window.
Der Bomber: Denis Undav
Undav wasn’t exceptional but scored Germany’s opening goal and really opened up the game for Die Mannschaft. Undav unfortunately missed a wide-open breakaway that would have given Germany the essential 3-2 lead.
Meister of the Match: Jamal Musiala
Musiala is continuing is red-hot form with the national team, and consistently caused problems for the Dutch all game long. His constant speed, dribbling, and distribution is wearing down teams and quick. His interception was crucial to Germany’s first goal and shows just how effective he can be even off the score sheet.
