According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is planning to dress Leon Goretzka for Tuesday’s Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb, but whether or not he gets any actual playing time remains to be seen:
Leon Goretzka is expected back in the squad against Dinamo Zagreb tomorrow as the club is allowed to include more players in the Champions League squad than in the Bundesliga. Nevertheless, it’s questionable whether Goretzka will see any minutes in the game, even though Sacha Boey’s injury opens up space in midfield as either Joshua Kimmich or Konrad Laimer will have to play at right-back.
As a club, Bayern Munich has given Goretzka every sign that he should look for a new club, but the player does not want to leave. Will the midfielder get an opportunity to win a job? Does the club even really want to risk that happening?
Let the games begin…
