Bayern Munich has the big task ahead of turning over its roster, reigning in the wage bill, all while retaining its key stars.
Board member for sport Max Eberl knows that will not be easy but is feeling good. Eberl gave a quick update on the club’s approach to two key players, midfielder Joshua Kimmich and attacker Jamal Musiala, whose contracts expire in 2025 and 2026, respectively.
“Both are players who can make the difference in every game, especially in big games” Eberl said for BR24 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “We want to show them appreciation, support them and make them feel comfortable. Vincent [Kompany] is doing that. And I’m also trying to play my role in that.”
Musiala, 21, has already reportedly rebuffed the club’s first approach and apparently so has winger Leroy Sané. Will the German Rekordmeister really be able to hang on to its current German core?
