Although Aleksandar Pavlović has risen to become one of Bayern Munich’s midfield staples, he is unfortunately battling against minor injuries throughout his professional career so far. When Bayern smashed Holstein Kiel 6-1, he remained on the bench and wasn’t even subbed on. What gives?
The 20-year-old midfielder revealed that had a slight discomfort that stemmed from his most recent injury: “I was on the bench [against Kiel] because I had hamstring problems. That’s why I played zero minutes.” (Tz as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia)
This isn’t the first time that injuries have prevented Pavlović from playing. He famously had to sit out the Euros in Germany because of his tonsilitis; he had made the final team selection by Julian Nagelsmann. With Sacha Boey picking up another serious injury at such a young age, the club will look to take care all their young players to the best of their abilities.
