According to a report form Bild journalist Heiko Niedderer, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer did not participate in team training this morning.
Instead, Neuer worked out individually inside the training facility with hopes of returning to team practice on Friday:
Info Manuel Neuer: He is not on the pitch, but is training individually inside. The plan is for him to be back on Friday.
Neuer, of course, was removed from Bayern Munich’s Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb due to an injury concern.
With a Saturday game against Werder Bremen on the horizon, Neuer’s status — at least as of now — is uncertain. Should Neuer not be able to play, Sven Ulreich would get the starting nod.
If all goes to plan, however, it seems as if Neuer is lining himself up to play on Saturday.
Fans do not need to panic…yet.
