Bayern Munich stars Harry Kane and Dayot Upamecano both left the team’s 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt due to injuries.
As of now, head coach Vincent Kompany cannot give an assessment on where things stand with both players.
“It’s still too early to say what Harry has. We hope it’s nothing serious. The same goes for Upamecano. This week was a real test for our team to see how dominant we can be against such teams three times in a week. If there’s nothing serious, then it’s a good sign of what we can achieve this season. Of course, we have to have everyone fit. Hopefully it’s nothing serious,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
L’Equipe is reporting that Upamecano has already underwent an MRI (via @iMiaSanMia):
Dayot Upamecano has undergone an MRI scan after he was subbed off against Frankfurt with a slight hamstring problem. The results, expected tonight, will determine whether Upamecano will join the French national team for the upcoming games.
If there was a time for Bayern Munich’s players to get hurt, now is as good a time as any. With the international break giving clubs a 10-day respite, both players should be able to rest if they need it.
