A report last month revealed that Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid are all interested in Arsenal defender William Saliba.
While it’s unlikely the Gunners would consider letting him go, especially with his contract running until 2027, they might only entertain offers starting around €120 million, according to CaughtOffside.
On Wednesday, reports emerged that Saliba is the type of player Real Madrid is looking for. As a result, Madrid’s leadership has already taken steps, reaching out to Saliba’s camp to assess interest and understand their stance.
The French outlet also mentions that Real Madrid is targeting Saliba for a potential move in the summer of 2025. They are laying the groundwork for a significant transfer push in the coming months, hoping to overcome Arsenal’s resistance and secure the PSG target.
Nonetheless, CaughtOffside reports, citing sources, that Arsenal remain relaxed about the France international’s future despite the rumors. Los Blancos are exploring the market for central defenders for the summer of 2025.
Saliba is under contract with Arsenal until 2027 and seems content at the club, entirely focused on performing well for the Gunners. There’s no solid evidence of any formal approach from Real Madrid at this point.
