Tottenham Hotspur have been vying a move for Leece left-back Patrick Dorgu as Ange Postecoglou looks to add depth and quality to the squad at Hotspur Way. Italian international Destiny Udogie has been an undisputed presence in the back-line from the left flank since his arrival at White Hart Lane, albeit the club does lack an equally reputable understudy to the former Udinese star.
In the conclusive stages of last season, Spurs fell off considerably, and much of that was owing to the marginal depreciation in quality with Udogie out injured. And Ange wouldn’t want to repeat the same in the ongoing and upcoming years as Daniel Levy looks to recruit a commendable player for the position.
Tottenham Hotspur vying for Leece left-back Dorgu
The North Londoners already have established links with the Serie A star for some time now, and the Lilywhites have been unable to meet €30 million demands by his current employers yet. However, that doesn’t mean that the Premier League giants wouldn’t try again to acquire Dorgu, who is attracting interests from elite clubs around Europe.
Spurs supporters will be encouraged by what Lecce sporting director Stefano Trinchera has to say about the 19-year-old’s future. He insists that Dorgu has the capacity to join an elite club in the future and that he has the qualities to succeed at the highest level.

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, Trinchera said:
“It’s not true that we had already sold him. He is one of our young players, who are being looked at by many important clubs. Today we are all thinking about survival, but Dorgu’s future is in his hands. He can join a top club due to the qualities he has.”
Dorgu has been compared to Gareth Bale owing to his offensive abilities; however, we will see if the officials at Hotspur Way are serious enough to contend for his signatures in the upcoming winds.
