Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has been linked with a move to Real Madrid as the Spanish right-back continues to impress for the North Londoners in the English top tier. Porro has made the right defensive flank spot his own since taking over from Emerson Royal in the previous season.
The 25-year-old initially moved to Hotspur Way on a loan deal, which was soon converted into a permanent transfer in the summer of 2023, and he hasn’t looked back since. Porro has been one of the better fullbacks in the Premier League over the past twelve months, and his consistent performances have aggregated into Real Madrid interest.
The La Liga giants have been vying for a new right back as they look to replace the ageing duo of Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez. While Carlo Ancelotti looks to sign Trent Alexander-Arnold, Spurs RB is a considerable alternative if the England international decides to continue at Anfield Stadium.
Porro acknowledges Real Madrid links
And Porro has recently opened up about his links with Real Madrid in a conversation with Relevo, where he acknowledged the links while committing his immediate focus to Tottenham. Speaking via. transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the former Sporting Lisbon fullback said:
“Of course I’m proud of these links; it means I’m doing things well. If that happens one day, it happens. Now I’m fully focused on my club, Tottenham.”

His consistent performances for the Lilywhites have shown that he does have potential to represent Real Madrid on a consistent basis.
For Tottenham, losing Porro would be a great loss to the project that Ange Postecoglou is building at White Hart Lane. His attacking prowess, complemented by his defensive stability, makes him an important component of the Spurs team.
