Like former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann with the German national team and former Tottenham Hotspur boss with the USMNT, Thomas Tuchel is seeking to make the jump to international play to revive his career.
Tuchel’s representatives are reportedly deep in talks with the English national team to take over as manager. Tuchel is coming off of a disastrous stint with Bayern Munich where he oversaw a trophyless campaign in 2023/24.
Nagelsmann and Pochettino are using the international stage to rejuvenate their respective coaching careers. For Nagelsmann, the move has been aces. Pochettino, however, just took the helm with the United States and it remains to be seen exactly what he can help that group achieve.
For Tuchel, this is a chance to take a sleeping giant and push it to new heights:
