Bayern Munich is being very careful with Jamal Musiala, who is set to miss this weekend’s clash vs. VfB Stuttgart.
The 21-year-old has been out of action since coming on for the second half of Bayern’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League. That was on October 2nd — and now it is the Champions League again, and familiar foes FC Barcelona, that Bayern is targeting his return.
From Tz’s Philipp Kessler and Manuel Bonke, as captured via @iMiaSanMia:
Jamal Musiala is expected to make his comeback against Barcelona next week. Bayern didn’t want to take any risks with the 21-year old with a view to the Barça game. It was already clear last week that he would miss the game against Stuttgart [@mano_bonke, @kessler_philipp]
Musiala has been dealing with a hip injury behind the scenes that and had previously missed a Bundesliga match this month at Eintracht Frankfurt as a result. Veteran Thomas Müller should continue to see more playing time in his absence.
