Manchester United have been offered Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani ahead of the January transfer window, as per reports.
United’s frontline showed their true potential against Brentford, as Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho ran the visitors’ defence ragged in the second half to secure a comeback 2-1 win on Saturday.
However, the trio and other United forwards have struggled to display their skill sets on a regular basis under Erik ten Hag. This has played a key part in the Red Devils languishing in 11th place in the Premier League table.
United could certainly do with a prolific presence upfront, and a report suggests they have been offered an opportunity to strengthen Ten Hag’s attack.
Intermediaries hold talks with Manchester United for Randal Kolo Muani
According to TBR Football, United are among a number of Premier League clubs who have been offered Kolo Muani heading into the winter transfer window.
The report adds: “Intermediaries have been touching base with a number of clubs around Europe, but given the size of deal that it would require to land him – England is the natural landing spot for the £70m man.”
The France international only moved to PSG in the summer of 2023 from Eintracht Frankfurt.
In Germany, Kolo Muani established himself as one of the most productive players in Europe, having scored 23 goals and registered 17 assists across all competitions during the 2022/23 campaign.
However, the Frenchman has struggled to cement his place in Luis Enrique’s starting lineup. It is being reported the Spanish coach has “made it clear” that he would be happy for the versatile forward to be “moved on”.
Kolo Muani has managed just nine appearances in all competitions this season, and it is claimed “the only reason he has even been given the limited game time was due to the injury to Portuguese front-man Goncalo Ramos.”
Accordingly, intermediaries have spoken to the likes of United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea to explore the possibility of a transfer away from PSG, who are believed to be open to letting their several fringe players depart in January.
The Ligue 1 outfit signed the 25-year-old in a deal worth €85 million. However, they would reportedly be prepared to loan him.
