Bayern Munich has won their last six games in all competitions, getting a clean sheet every time and averaging almost three goals per game. The Bavarians are on the right track as Vincent Kompany oversees operations of the first team. One of his players, Joshua Kimmich, is liking the way he and his teammates play at present.
“The way we’re playing football feels very, very good,” Kimmich said (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia). “I had the feeling in the previous games that we defended better than in the past. Of course, we conceded three goals against Frankfurt and four against Barcelona. We were severely punished in Barcelona, and especially against Frankfurt. But it never felt like our defense was shaky or that we were on the wrong track. That’s why I’m really happy that we stayed calm and trusted the way we play. Now we’re being rewarded for it, but of course we can’t let up.”
With a gauntlet of games next on the list for the Rekordmeister, Kimmich will have to continue doing his part if the team’s aim is to maintain a good run of results.
