AS Monaco are flying high in Ligue 1, despite suffering their first loss of the season in all competitions. The Principality club are currently second, only three points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, whilst they are also unbeaten since making their return to the UEFA Champions League.
Adi Hutter has deserved plaudits for the job that he has done since joining Monaco; he currently has the highest win percentage of any manager in the club’s history. However, his current contract expires at the end of the campaign. L’Équipe reported last week that talks between Hutter and Monaco over an extension had begun.
Speaking at a press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Hutter evoked his contract situation for the first time. “We are in touch. Everyone is now focused on the schedule of games. We are always in touch, and there is a very good relationship,” he began.
The Austrian added, “The most important thing is that I feel good here. At the right time, we will all sit around the table and we will make the right decision. I am really focused on our games.”
