Gangwon finished second in the league, just behind Ulsan, following the season’s play-offs.
Yang Min-hyeok wrapped up the K-League season with an impressive tally of 12 goals and five assists, ranking as the seventh-best player in the league for combined goals and assists—a remarkable achievement for an 18-year-old.
Tottenham secured a deal for the young forward during the summer transfer window, with his official arrival scheduled for January. However, reports from KoreaTimes confirm that Yang will join his new teammates ahead of schedule, arriving earlier than originally planned.
Spurs could really use some depth to their squad
With the K-League season now concluded, Yang is taking a well-deserved holiday before making his way to England. He confirmed that he will arrive in mid-December to begin preparations for joining Tottenham’s first team in January.
“I will leave [for England] on December 16. Tottenham wanted me to come over early, so I will take some time off before heading over. I will focus on getting acclimated as soon as possible,” Yang said after the season’s conclusion.
Similar to how Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall were handled, Tottenham plans to give Yang ample time to adapt to his new surroundings rather than rushing him into Ange Postecoglou’s immediate plans. The South Korean teenager will be gradually introduced to life at Tottenham, the Premier League, and the new culture, ensuring a smoother transition. The club’s strategy is for him to arrive in December and prepare ahead of his January move, avoiding the pressure of being thrown into matchday squads too quickly.
