Jamal Musiala has been on an unbelievable journey with Bayern Munich, growing up to become a genuine superstar of the game and becoming one of the team’s most important players. Despite his tender years, he is now already working under his fourth head coach at Bayern in Vincent Kompany and knows the growing pains of getting used to a new coach. So he knows what he is saying when he says that the team is still adapting to the new coach’s vision:
“I really like [Kompany’s playstyle]. It’s still the beginning of a new style under a new coach, so with every game we’ll get a better feeling for it,” Musiala affirms via @iMiaSanMia. “We want to take a step forward with every game”
Despite Musiala’s incredible rise as a player, winning the Bundesliga and holding the Champions League trophy in his hands, he has suffered little else but crushing failures in the DFB-Pokal. Winning it, he states, is the goal:
“Winning the trophy is everyone’s goal. We have to go into every game with the same mentality. There’s no small or big game. Every game is like a final. It’s a good mentality to have.”
