Bayern Munich attacker Michael Olise might be in some hot water given Germany’s strong anti-middle finger sentiment.
During his team-s 4-0 victory over Mainz 05 in the DFB-Pokal, Olise, who did not start the match, allegedly had a beer thrown at him and (also allegedly) retaliated with a flip of the bird to the people who tossed the beer. Below is video of Olise’s response to the reported beer toss:

Bayern Munich did not wait too long to respond to what was surely going to be a situation just waiting to be overblown by the media:
Bayern responded to the viral video of Michael Olise allegedly showing Mainz fans the middle finger: “He [Olise] was provoked and had beer thrown at him. He then reacted with a gesture, but it was not offensive” [@BILD] pic.twitter.com/y6i02euEDG

Was it the middle finger? Was it just a random gesture? Is the Illuminati involved?
We really cannot answer any of those questions with the video provided, as it is a bit unclear. It looks like he did, indeed, flip some fan (or fans) the bird, but — as stated — it is hard to really discern without a Zapruder film-like breakdown.
Until that happens, Birdgate is upon us.
