Brighton & Hove Albion, Ipswich Town and Southampton are all reportedly considering a January swoop for Vasco da Gama youngster Rayan.
Brighton & Hove Albion, Ipswich Town and Southampton are all reportedly interested in signing Vasco da Gama youngster Rayan.
The 18-year-old is a towering presence for the Brazilian side in attack despite his tender age, standing at over 186cm, while also possessing a quick turn of pace.
Rayan has featured in 22 Brasileiro matches for Vasco da Gama, who are fighting to keep their spot in the top 12 and subsequent Copa Sudamericana qualification.
Despite finding the net on just one occasion across those fixtures, the winger has impressed scouts of sides operating in the European ecosystem.
Rayan also possesses relative international pedigree, having featured for Brazil at both Under-17 and Under-20 level since the beginning of 2023.

Brighton, Ipswich join Southampton in race for Rayan?
According to GIVEMESPORT, three Premier League clubs are set to battle for the services of Vasco da Gama and Brazil star Rayan in the near future.
The report claims that top-flight newcomers Ipswich and Southampton, as well as Brighton, are keen on securing the signature of the 18-year-old.
With Rayan’s current contract at Estadio Sao Januario expiring on the final day of 2025, Vasco da Gama are expecting to lose the player imminently.
The youngster is highly unlikely to sign fresh terms, meaning that his current club are anticipating a January sale in the region of £15m.
Barcelona and Liverpool have been touted as potential suitors of Rayan in the past, although it is understood that neither the Catalans or the Reds are actively pursuing the Brazilian at this moment.

Who needs Rayan the most?
Bottom of the Premier League table after scoring just seven goals across their first 11 matches, it is hard to argue that Southampton are not in desperate need of attacking improvements.
Summer arrival Cameron Archer has found the net just twice in 11 top-flight games, while fellow new recruit Ben Brereton Diaz is yet to register a goal.
As a result, the thought of a New Year addition of a promising Brazilian will excite the St Mary’s faithful, however it is unlikely that Rayan would single-handedly save the Saints from the drop.
The 18-year-old is not a regular provider of goal contributions in the Brasileiro, meaning that the chances of him hitting the ground running in the Premier League are extremely slim.
