Myles Lewis-Skelly has returned to training with the Arsenal first team, leaving just two players absent ahead of Tuesday’s match against Sporting CP.
Arsenal youngster Myles Lewis-Skelly was absent from Mikel Arteta’s squad to face Nottingham Forest due to injury, having picked up a knock that ruled him out of the fixture.
But the 18-year-old could be seen taking part in Arsenal’s open training session ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League match against Sporting CP, and he’s now travelled with the squad to Lisbon.
With an expanded bench in European competition, there will be room for Lewis-Skelly to be involved, even though most of the squad are now fit.
Sky Sports News reports that only Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu were absent from training on Monday, with both still out injured.
Kieran Tierney was involved, and he’s set to be included in the squad. Arteta said before the Forest game: “Not yet. He had a couple of sessions with the team but is not ready yet to be with the team (against Forest).”
But after a couple more sessions since then, the Scotland international is now preparing to make his full comeback.
Arteta will be in front of the media again on Monday night to give another update on Tierney, White, and Tomiyasu.
