This week, Bayern Munich loanees finished off an eventful international window. Lovro Zvonarek and Gabriel Vidović had a dramatic 120 minute affair with Croatia’s U21s in hopes of qualifying for the U-21 Euros. Bryan Zaragoza also scored his first international goal. Back in league play, Hyun-ju Lee and Maurice Krattenmacher both scored in the 2.Bundesliga. See what else the loanees accomplished this week:
FC Bayern Munich
There are nine players on loan from the first team.
Germany – Bundesliga
There are five players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Franz Krätzig, Paul Wanner, Armando Sieb, and Gabriel Vidović.
Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart
Nübel started for Germany away to Hungary on Tuesday, and played the full 90 minutes. Thanks to a big win the match before, Germany had already secured the top spot in the group, but it was nice to see Nübel get his second cap in as many international windows. He recorded five saves and held the shutout for more than 90 minutes, but could not save Dominik Szoboszlai’s penalty in the ninth minute of stoppage time. This late goal caused Germany to split the points with a 1-1 final score.
Back with Stuttgart, Nübel started again on Saturday at home against Bochum. He recorded two saves, which was enough to earn a shutout for his team. Stuttgart scored two second half goals for the 2-0 win.
Stuttgart will travel to Serbia to face Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday in the Champions League. They will also travel to Bremen for a league match on Saturday.
Franz Krätzig – VfB Stuttgart
Krätzig was not in the matchday squads for Stuttgart’s first or second team this weekend. Hopefully he can get some more playing time soon.
Paul Wanner – 1.FC Heidenheim
Heidenheim was away to Leverkusen on Saturday and went up 2-0 within 21 minutes. Wanner came off the bench in the 28th minute due to an injury to Pieringer, who had already provided an assist. Wanner did not have a shot, nor a chance created for his teammates to shoot on the day. Leverkusen came back with a vengeance and had the match tied up just minutes after Wanner came on. Three second half goals from Leverkusen made it five unanswered and Leverkusen cruised to a 5-2 win.
Heidenheim will host Chelsea on Thursday in the Conference League. They will also host Frankfurt in Bundesliga play on Sunday.
Armando Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Mainz was away to Holstein Kiel on Sunday and was up 3-0 in the second half before Sieb entered in the 80th minute. He only had six touches, but completed all four passes he attempted. He was unable to put anything else into the match, but his team did not need it. The match ended in a 3-0 road win.
Mainz will host Hoffenheim on Sunday.
Gabriel Vidović – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Vidović was in Croatia for the return match of their Euro U-21 qualification against Georgia. He did not come into the match in regulation, but the aggregate score of 3-3 forced extra time, when Vidović came onto the pitch. He was unable to help Croatia find a goal in extra time, but scored the first goal in penalty kicks. Unfortunately, Croatia fell 7-6 after an epic shootout.
Vidovic was not in the matchday squad for Mainz, but now shows on the injury report after his international stint. It states that he has an ankle injury and will be missing until late December. We wish him a quick recovery, but we may not see him until after the winter break.
Spain – LaLiga
Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Spain’s LaLiga.
Bryan Zaragoza – CA Osasuna
Zaragoza was on the bench for Spain in their final Nation’s league group match against Switzerland. He came into the match just moments after Spain retook the lead at 2-1 in the 69th minute. In the 85th minute, he received a yellow card for dissent after Switzerland was given a penalty — which they scored to equalize. Less than ten minutes later, Zaragoza was brought down inside the box to win a penalty. He stepped up an buried his shot from the spot to earn his first goal at the senior level for Spain and helped Spain win to finish off Nations League group play.
Zaragoza returned to the starting lineup in Osasuna’s return to league play. He may have had a little hangover from national team duty, as he was unable to record a shot, nor did he create a chance for his team to shoot. He also completed just 53% of his passes, but his team was still up 2-0 in the first half thanks to a brace from Budimir. Zaragoza was subbed off in the 78th minute when they were up 2-1. A penalty in stoppage time for Villareal leveled the match at 2-2, and split the points.
Osasuna will travel to face Sevilla on Monday, December 2.
Austria – Bundesliga
Lovro Zvonarek is the only player from the first team on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.
Lovro Zvonarek – Sturm Graz
Zvonarek was with Croatia’s U21s in their return match against Georgia in the second of two matches for a final spot in the U21 Euros. Zvonarek started and played the full 120 minutes, which were not enough to settle the match. Unlike, Vidovic, his fellow Bayern loanee, he did not step up to take a penalty. Croatia fell 7-6 in the penalty shootout and in a heartbreak, misses out on next year’s U21 Euros.
After going the full 120 minutes with Croatia, Zvonarek was not in the lineup for Sturm Graz. They won big 7-0 at home against SK Austria Klagenfurt.
Graz will host Girona on Wednesday in the Champions League, before travelling to face Altach in league play on Saturday.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Maurice Krattenmacher is the only player from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga
Maurice Krattenmacher – SSV Ulm 1846
SSV Ulm was away to Hertha BSC on Saturday. Krattenmacher started on the bench and came into the match in the 51st minute. Just moments later, the home team went up 2-1. In the 59th minute, Krattenmacher equalized with his first shot since coming onto the pitch. This was his second goal for Ulm and proved to be the final goal of this match. Krattenmacher also received a yellow card deep into stoppage time for a bad foul.
Ulm will host Greuther Fürth on Sunday.
Germany – 3. Liga
Gibson Nana Adu is the only player on loan from the first team in the 3. Liga.
Gibson Nana Adu – Unterhaching
Adu started for Unterhaching at home against Wehen Wiesbaden. He received a yellow card in the 32nd minute, but was unable to influence the match much more than that. He was subbed off at halftime with the match level at 1-1. No one was able to score in the second half and it ended with a 1-1 draw.
Unterhaching will travel to face Energie Cottbus on Saturday.
FC Bayern Munich II
There are twelve players on loan from the second team.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
Hyun-ju Lee is the only player from the second team loaned out to the 2. Bundesliga
Hyun-ju Lee – Hannover 96
After earning his first cap for Korea, Lee returned to the starting lineup for Hannover 96 in a home game against Darmstadt. After an uneventful first half, Darmstadt scored in the 62nd minute. Just six minutes later, Lee scored his second goal of the season to equalize at 1-1 with a shot from near distance following a corner. Unfortunately, the match was only level for about four minutes before Darmstadt scored again. Lee left the match in the 77th minute, but Hannover was unable to find an equalizer and the match ended with a 2-1 loss.
Hannover will travel to face Köln on Saturday.
Germany – 3. Liga
Max Scholze is the only player from the second team on loan to the 3. Liga
Max Scholze – SC Verl
Scholze was on the bench for Verl’s 2-2 draw against Stuttgart II, but did not make it onto the pitch.
Verl will travel east to face Erzgebirge Aue on Saturday.

Schweinfurt will host SpVgg Bayreuth on Friday.
Marko Popovic – Türkgücü München
Popovic was on the bench for Türkgücü but did not make it onto the pitch. They lost — again — 3-1 at home against TSV Aubstadt.
Türkgücü will be on the road against SpVgg Hankofen-Hailing on Saturday.
Luka Parkadze – Altglienicke
Parkadze started for Altglienicke on the road against RW Erfurt. They started the match off with a goal in the fifth minute. Parkadze did not make it onto the scoresheet before being subbed off in the 59th minute with his team up 1-0.
Robert Deziel Jr – Altglienicke
Deziel also started for Altgienicke in the defense. After going up early, he helped keep the lead for 80 minutes before the home team equalized in the 85th minutes. Altglienicke was unable to find another goal, but Deziel and company kept Erfurt from scoring again too. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
Altglienicke will host Lukenwalde on Friday.
Yousef Qashi – Wupertaler SV
Qashi was on the bench for Wupertaler against Sportfreunde Lotte. He came into the match late in stoppage time to help his team see out a 1-0 win.
Benedikt Wimmer – Wupertaler SV
Wimmer started in defense for Wupertaler SV on the road. The match was scoreless through the first half. Wupertaler scored in the 51st minute to go up 1-0 and Wimmer and his defensive cohorts kept the clean sheet through the rest of the second half to secure all three points for the road team.
Wupertaler SV will host SV Gütersloh on Saturday.
Austria – Bundesliga
Matteo Pérez Vinlöf is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga from the second team.
Matteo Pérez Vinlöf – Austria Wien
Vinlöf started for Austria Wien and played 67 minutes against Hartberg. He completed 89% of his passes, had one shot — that missed badly — and created one chance his teammates to shoot. He left in the 67th minute with the match level at 0-0. Ten minutes later Wien found a goal and won the match 1-0.
Austria Wien will travel to Linz to face LASK on Sunday.
Austria – 2. Liga
Tom Hülsmann is the only player on loan to the Austrian 2. Liga from the second team
Tom Hülsmann – SKN St. Pölten
Hülsmann started in goal for St. Pölten against Rapid Wien II. He saved all six shots on goal that he faced and kept the shutout. His team scored a goal in the second half to go up a goal, but then went down a man with about 20 minutes to go. Hülsmann also received a yellow card in the 82nd minute, presumably for timewasting. All in all, they were up to the task and finished off the 1-0 road win.
St. Pölten will host SV Laffnitz on Friday.
Netherlands – Kampioen Divisie
David Jonathans is the only player on loan to the Dutch Kampioen Divisie.
David Jonathans – FC Den Bosch

Taichi Fukui is the only player on loan in Liga Portugal.
Taichi Fukui – FC Arouca
Fukui started for Arouca in the fourth round of the Taca de Portugal — Portugal’s cup competition — against top-flight opponent Farense. He played the first half, but did not get on the scoresheet. His team was down 2-1 at halftime, but Arouca was unable to score in the second half and they crash out of the cup competition.
Arouca will host Benfica in league play on Sunday.

England – Women’s Super League
