With the January transfer window nearing, Randal Kolo Muani’s future at Paris Saint-Germain looks uncertain due to limited minutes under Luis Enrique. West Ham are reportedly eyeing the French striker as their need for reinforcements grows, with Niclas Füllkrug currently side-lined and Michail Antonio struggling to shoulder the burden alone.
Mikey was excellent against Newcastle on Monday but the Irons top brass will be well aware that we can’t continue to rely too heavily on the 34 year old.
Brighton’s Evan Ferguson is another potential target, but Hammers’ director of football Tim Steidten is casting a wide net. Meanwhile, PSG are reportedly open to loaning out Kolo Muani, with West Ham and Newcastle United vying for his signature but Manchester United have also entered the mix following the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
However, Newcastle’s forward options—Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson—could restrict Kolo Muani’s game time, making a move to the London Stadium more appealing. Strong links between West Ham and PSG, forged through deals for Alphonse Areola, Thilo Kehrer, and Carlos Soler, could also give the Hammers an edge.
That being said, the world and his wife are aware that the Irons are in the market for a striker so we’ll be linked with everyone. Chances are at this time that a loan move for Ferguson is more likely given the sources of the leaks. As C&H was informed by West Ham sources earlier today, we could yet move in the market depending on the Fullkrug situation.
