One West Ham United player is said to be chomping at the bit to leave the club in the January window.
West Ham have a lot of work to do in the January transfer window, with Julen Lopetegui in desperate need of further reinforcements.
It could actually be argued that the Hammers head coach needs to strengthen every single department of his squad at the London Stadium.
Before the win over Newcastle, Lopetegui was facing the very real prospect of losing his job.
However, the 2-0 win on Monday night has bought him some much-needed time.
And he will have a lot on his plate by the time the January transfer window rolls around.
West Ham ace ‘hits rock bottom’ ahead of January transfer window
The Hammers have a very strong squad of players.
The problem with that is because of the strong competition for places, some players will not be playing as much as they want to.
That actually doesn’t apply to Guido Rodriguez. The 30-year-old has started all of our Premier League games this season bar one – Monday’s 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
However, the Argentinian has been well off the pace and seems destined to be a failure in the Premier League.
It has already been claimed that the Hammers could sell Rodriguez in January, and now it seems like he’s desperate for a London Stadium exit as well.
Estadio Deportivo claim that the midfielder is at ‘rock bottom’ and is pushing to leave West Ham.
I say let him go.
It’s painfully clear to see that Guido Rodriguez isn’t good enough to play for West Ham in the Premier League, and selling him in the January transfer window should be a no-brainer.
We signed him for absolutely nothing remember, so moving him on even for a nominal fee would see us make a profit.
