Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Borussia Dortmund youngster Jamie Gittens, according to reports in Germany.
Patrick Berger and Nico Ditter reports for Sky Sports in Germany that Arsenal are in the race for Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens, along with Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.
Some clubs have already opened talks with management to assess Gittens’ situation and position themselves for a future transfer.
The report adds that Dortmund don’t have much to worry about for the time being though, as Gittens feels at home with his current club and wants to push on with them.
Even so, Gittens reportedly sees himself playing in the Premier League in the future, and Dortmund are still dependent on sales to fund their incoming business.
Gittens might be their next big-money transfer, particularly on current form.
The 20-year-old scored his eighth goal of the season on Saturday, netting against Bayern Munich, and he’s also provided four assists in his 19 appearances this campaign.
Operating on the left-wing, Gittens could provide competition for Arsenal’s current options, with neither Leandro Trossard nor Gabriel Martinelli really nailing down the spot the way Bukayo Saka has on the other side.
Gittens might be more of a long-term consideration though, under contract until 2028 and not currently planning a summer transfer in 2025.
