We’re back with another international friendly. Germany concludes its 2024 season in Bochum with a showdown against Italy — with the women’s EURO just around the corner next summer.
Bayern Munich keeper Ena Mahmutovic is set to make her international debut, as announced by head coach Christian Wück.
Last time out the Germans thrashed Switzerland 6-0…but the match before that, lost 1-2 to Australia. Parts of the team are clearly still in flux, so now is as good a time as any for a consistent Wück XI to start taking shape.
It is also an extraordinarily hectic time of the year — the FC Bayern Frauen, for starters, have four more matches after this one, including two in the Champions League, by December 18. What kind of performance can Germany muster?
