A former Everton flop has shocked fans by announcing his plans to release a rap album.
In the modern day, footballers are no longer just footballers. They are models. They are brands. And, seemingly, they are also musicians.
A whole host of players have – such as Amadou Onana and Rafael Leao – have turned their attention to music recently and now an ex-Toffees flop has done the same.
The player in question is none other former Everton forward Moise Kean, who plies his trade for Serie A side Fiorentina.
Kean’s decision to embark on a music career isn’t exactly new, however. The Italian forward dropped his debut single, ‘OUTFIT’, under the pseudonym ‘KMB’, last year.
The song has since garnered over 1.4 million streams on Spotify and has inspired the former Toffees striker to produce an entire debut album.

The player’s debut rap album – titled ‘Chosen’ or ‘The Chosen’ – will release on December 16th
‘Chosen’, or ‘The Chosen’, will be released on December 16th, will be comprised 11 songs and have features from Stunna, Sey_Blessed and Elena Manuele.
The Fiorentina star has been active in the world of music since 2019, starring in one of Turin-based rapper Boro Boro’s music videos.
During his time at Everton, Kean scored just four goals from his 39 appearances. However, he has 13 goals in 16 matches from his outings for Fiorentina this year, perhaps suggesting his endevaours into music are paying off.
As well as Kean, Onana and Leao, former Arsenal star and now-Fulham winger Alex Iwobi has also previously dabbled in the music industry.
The Premier League star, 28, launched his rap career earlier this year with his debut hit ‘Don’t Shoot’.
He then followed that up with ‘What’s Luv?’ which saw him collaborate with close friend SPKS and emerging artist MBrown.
Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi took to X to promote his latest single, as he posted a short clip alongside the caption: ‘What’s Luv? VIDEO OUT NOW! Link In My Bio – Watch, Stream, Share, VIBE!’

Fulham star Alex Iwobi is another who has dabbled in the music industry alongside football
The song has been described as ‘a celebration of his African roots with a blend of Afro–Swing mixed with Rap’.
Iwobi hails from Nigeria and has won 80 caps for his country.
Speaking about his decision to move into the music industry while still playing football, Iwobi has previously said: ‘Music has always been a passion of mine, and a way for me to express myself away from football. Music is a great tool and I’ve always used it as a productive way to share how I feel.’
It certainly hasn’t had a negative impact on Iwobi’s performances on the pitch after his strong start to the season at Craven Cottage.
