In October, a report emerged that Paris Saint-Germain had identified River Plate’s Franco Mastantuono as their top transfer target, with intentions to trigger his €40 million release clause.
However, this fee could rise to €45 million during the final ten days of the transfer window. While PSG remain highly interested, Diario AS journalist Eduardo Burgos noted that Manchester United are also closely monitoring the young Argentine.
Additionally, major European clubs such as Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea are reportedly keeping an eye on Mastantuono. According to ESPN Argentina, Manchester United are particularly eager to secure the teenager and are preparing a January bid.
This week, a report from Defensa Central emerged that Liverpool are ready to activate Mastantuono’s £37.3 million release clause at River Plate to outpace Real Madrid for his signature.
