There has been a lot of information coming out of the football fashion world, specifically pertaining to Bayern Munich. In a rather unorthodox move, the good people at Footy Headlines have decided to release information about Bayern’s next home, away, and third kits almost all at once.
If the leaks are to be believed, the home kit is likely to be the subject of major controversy for the umpteenth time. Previous leaks had indicated that there would be a sort of “M” figure on the shirt, which would stand for the city of Munich. Now, according to an ‘85% accurate prediction,’ the M will look more like this, in the form of what are supposedly soundwaves, but look more like bloodstains.
Now this is definitely sure to spark up a lot of complaints in the Südkurve, who have launched multiple protests even over this season’s rather tame home kit. While the final design remains to be seen, the source makes it seem like whatever the final design is will not stray too far from the latest leak.
The away kit will revert back to white after two seasons of black. Not too much is known about it other than the color scheme (white, coral, and gray), but it is said to sport a similar design to the 2019/20 home kit, which had a diamond pattern resembling the Allianz Arena.
If the leaked information is true, it should not be too big a problem, since the 19/20 home kit looked quite dandy, although a lot of it could be because it was worn during a treble-winning season.
The third kit, meanwhile, will go back to black after two seasons of light colors. Just like the away kit, not much is known about the final design. However, other than the color scheme (black, red, and khaki), it can now be known that the design will feature a graphic inspired by Marienplatz, where the team celebrates its many titles. It will be the second year in a row that a kit is inspired by a city landmark, following the Bavarian Statue-inspired current away kit.
Should the predicted design be anything close to the final design, it looks like Bayern are in for another banger of a third kit. Bayern’s best efforts at kits have commonly come in the third version in recent seasons, including this season’s beige kit.
What is also notable is that just like this season, the third kit will feature the adidas Trefoil logo. It will also feature a classic Bayern logo, which means it marks the third straight year that a Bayern third kit will not feature the club’s contemporary logo.
Bavarian Football Works will keep readers updated on more information on the kits as it becomes available.
