Fabrizio Romano claims Luis Guilherme could be heading for a West Ham exit before the transfer window closes on 3rd February.
The Brazilian wonderkid has struggled for minutes at the London Stadium this season, and recent reports suggested a move to the Saudi Pro League could be on the horizon.
A top source at West Ham told Claret and Hugh earlier this month that there had been interest in the Brazilian winger, but nothing concrete had materialised.
However, Italian transfer insider Romano has now reported fresh interest in the £19m summer signing from Shakhtar Donetsk.
Concerningly for the Hammers, Romano’s update indicates Shakhtar would only be willing to pay €15m for Guilherme, leaving West Ham facing an almost £8m loss in just six months.
Speaking on social media, Romano said:
“Shakhtar Donetsk have sent €15m package proposal to West Ham for Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.
There are more clubs keen, with Luis now expected to leave #WHUFC in the next days.”
The failed transfer of Guilherme is one of the key reasons former director of football Tim Steidten faced such intense pressure and ultimately lost his job at West Ham.
With potential losses on both Guilherme and Niclas Füllkrug, the club may feel further vindicated in their decision to sack the German
