West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek is attracting serious interest from a Premier League club, Claret & Hugh can reveal.
The interested party are reportedly willing to pay the Hammers star over £30,000 more per week than his current West Ham contract, which still has just over two years left to run.
Soucek is said to love playing for West Ham, and his ultimate ambition has always been to captain his adopted club.
Now in his fifth year in East London, the goal scoring cult hero is certainly not agitating for a move. However, he remains towards the lower end of the wage structure among West Ham’s senior players, and a potential suitor is prepared to offer significantly more to tempt him away.
Claret & Hugh understands there could be as many as three Premier League clubs interested in signing Soucek, who has scored seven goals this season.
Additionally, two Championship clubs currently pushing for promotion are also believed to be considering moves for the Czech international. Both would be willing to offer a pay-rise, given his almost guaranteed supply of goals from midfield.
West Ham are understood to be willing to review the 30-year-old’s contract towards the end of next season but could expect transfer bids in the region of £17m.
