Harry Kane’s stunning goal against Brentford broke ANOTHER Premier League record… with the England captain the first player to score in 25 different matches in a single 38-game season
Harry Kane’s stunning goal which opened the scoring for Tottenham Hotspur against Brentford broke another Premier League record.
Just over seven minutes into the last Spurs home game of the season, Kane dispatched a perfect strike into the corner of David Raya‘s goal after a clever free-kick move instigated by Dejan Kulusevski.
It was the England captain’s 30th goal in all competitions this season. In the process, talkSPORT report that Kane became the first man to score in 25 different Premier League games in a single 38-game season.
While Erling Haaland has been setting all kinds of records this term, the Norwegian’s 36 Premier League goals have come across 23 Manchester City matches.
Kane’s 28 goals this season would have been enough to win the Golden Boot in nearly two-thirds of Premier League campaigns to date – but Haaland has already broken the record for most goals ever in a season.

Meanwhile, Kane’s wonder strike also brought him level with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink for scoring 10 goals in London derbies during a single Premier League season, as reported by Opta.
Speaking about the goal on talkSPORT, England legend Stuart Pearce said: ‘It’s brilliant work and brilliant set up.
‘Before the ball was struck they’ve got four players in the eyeline of the goalkeeper and it was great movement from them, they’ve put a lot of pressure on him.
‘Kane steps up and just whips the ball around the wall, around the guarding players and into the top corner. It’s a magnificent free-kick from Harry Kane.’
Tottenham’s last match of the season is a trip to Leeds United – when Kane can look to extend his record, in what could be his last game for Spurs.
