- Manchester City are willing to sell Joao Cancelo for £34million this summer
- Barcelona are interested in signing Cancelo, who is on loan at Bayern Munich
- Cancelo is unlikely to have a future at City with Pep Guardiola in charge
Manchester City are willing to lower their asking price for Joao Cancelo this summer to £34million amid interest from Barcelona.
Cancelo is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and has made 20 appearances for the German club since arriving in January.
The 29-year-old was previously a key player for City but fell out of favour with Pep Guardiola.
Although he has four years remaining on his contract, it seems unlikely that Cancelo will have a long-term future at the Etihad Stadium.
Bayern have an option to sign Cancelo permanently for £62m but they are not likely to exercise it, which could open the door for Barcelona, as reported by Sport BILD.

Barcelona are looking to bring in a new right-back as Jules Kounde could leave the club.
As well as Cancelo, other options that Barcelona are considering include Villarreal’s Juan Foyth and
Portugal international Cancelo joined City from Juventus in 2019.
He has made 154 appearances for City and has won the Premier League twice, while he is also eligible for a medal this season. In addition, Cancelo won the Carabao Cup on three occasions.
Cancelo’s immediate focus is on Bayern, who are two points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund going into the final day of the Bundesliga season.
Bayern have won the title for the last ten seasons but their dominance could be set to end. They face Cologne away on Saturday.

Speaking in February, Cancelo commented on his loan move away from City after Guardiola preferred to play Rico Lewis and Nathan Ake.
‘As I already said, he found a way to play, after the World Cup, in which he started playing with a full-back more inside, where I also played, and he liked what he saw with Rico [Lewis] and Nathan [Ake],’ Cancelo said, according to O Jogo.
‘But I think a player is always a bit selfish. Any player wants to feel important, wants to play and anyone who says otherwise is lying. A competitive player, like me, who aspires to win titles, just wants to play.
‘It’s not a question of devaluing my team-mates. But I thought I deserved to play and he didn’t.
‘So we talked, it was a conversation, not a discussion, and we decided that the best thing would be for me to leave this market. An opportunity I couldn’t refuse. It was by mutual agreement.
‘If City didn’t want to, they wouldn’t let me leave, because I had a contract. I’m very professional, I’ve always given my face for all the clubs. I have a difficult personality, yes, but I have never, at any time, disrespected team-mates or coaches.’
