Harry Kane will stay at Spurs for another season, unless he gets a move to Man United.
We’ve said it probably a hundred times at this point, but a top tier striker is the number one priority for Manchester United heading into this transfer window.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that Harry Kane is the name most-linked with a Red Devils switch. The Englishman has just one year left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur, having a real decision to make.
The latest update in the brewing saga comes from The Sun. They provide good news for those United supporters who are fans of Kane.
Apparently, the 29-year-old striker ‘only wants (a) Man United transfer’ this summer, their headline claims. If that cannot happen, Kane will run down his contract at Spurs and have his pick of the clubs next summer.
Right now, the England captain ahs no intention of going abroad, as he looks to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goals record. However, Spurs only want to deal with overseas clubs, rather than watching Kane go to a direct rival. Daniel Levy and the White Hart Lane club will absolutely have no say in that matter next summer.
Bayern Munich are ‘huge admirers’ of Kane, though the player has no intention of making a move to Bavaria.
United remain the only viable option for the Spurs man, who has no intention of joining a direct Spurs rival like Chelsea or Arsenal, whereas Newcastle United are not in a position to spend £100m on one player.
It feels inevitable that Kane will either be sold for a massive sum this summer, or walk away for nothing in the next twelve months. United, right now, have to be the overwhelming favourites to get this deal done.
