Harry Kane wants a transfer to Man United this summer, though it’ll take some pushing on his end.
Manchester United Football Club need a world-class striker. That much is obvious. Harry Kane has been the top target for the last couple of months. However, not too long ago, a deal looked dead in the water.
The Red Devils seemingly aren’t ready to give up just yet, though. Probably due to the lack of other quality options that are readily available at a decent price.
According to The Sun, United have told Kane it’s now down to him to force the transfer through and ‘make it happen’. Seemingly, the Reds believe they’ve done all they can on their end.
United are ready to walk away from a transfer due to tough negotiations with Daniel Levy, but in a final attempt to move things on, the Old Trafford side are asking Kane to put in a transfer request to make things happen.
United value Kane at £80m. Spurs want closer to £100m, while the 29-year-old ‘desperately’ wants a transfer to the Red Devils this summer.
Sadly, I just do not see Kane putting in a transfer request. The Englishman is loved by Spurs fans and it has always felt like he’s comfortable in North London, letting this situation play out naturally. I do not believe he’ll risk upsetting his boyhood club at this moment in time.
I get the impression that eventually, all roads point to Kane leaving on a free transfer next summer. At this point, United are the only top tier side who need a striker so I’d make them the early favourites to sign Kane in 2024. A lot can change quickly in football, though.
