A pair of Man United players have been deemed ‘must-sells’ by the Red Devils this summer.
Manchester United Football Club are in for a major overhaul this summer, assuming the Red Devils can move on from those unwanted players.
The Old Trafford side are yet to make any real major movements in the transfer window so far, though I suspect that’ll change pretty soon.
Erik ten Hag has to clear some space in the squad, in order to make room for potential signings. According to the Manchester Evening News, a United duo are regarded as ‘must-sells’ this summer.
Both Alex Telles and Eric Bailly are on the transfer list this summer. We covered a recent report suggesting the latter is available for around £2m.
Both players are out of contract next summer, as United look to recoup at least a minimal transfer fee for both players.
The pair spent last season out on loan, without really standing out for Sevilla and Marseille respectively. It does beg the question, what sort of interest will these guys fetch?
As is now customary with United, I’d imagine the problem will come in regard to their wages. Not many sides can even afford to pay Bailly and Telles what they’re currently taking home.
In our opinion, it’s going to be hard to persuade anyone to take these guys. The likely scenario is that they’ll both probably end up on loan again next season, before leaving the club on free transfers next season.
This is just typical with United under the Glazer regime. They’ve overpaid for average players for far too long. That absolutely has to change sooner rather than later.
