Ryan Gravenberch could be on the move for the second consecutive summer as he faces an uncertain future at Bayern Munich. With the Dutch team eliminated from U-21 Euros, Gravenberch will soon hold talks with Thomas Tuchel and Die Roten to know about their plans for him. It does look certain that Gravenberch will not move to Liverpool this summer.
According to Sky Sports in Germany, Liverpool is no longer pursuing the signing of Ryan Gravenberch. The Merseyside club held preliminary talks with Gravenberch at the end of last season. The Dutch midfielder was reportedly open to joining the Premier League side, but interest from Liverpool never materialized into a bid.
Liverpool completed the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig this week. The Hungarian midfielder plays in the same position as Gravenberch. Liverpool had previously sealed a deal for Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister at the start of June. With two number eights or tens in the squad, signing Gravenberch makes no sense for Liverpool.
Gravenberch will not be short of offers if he decides to leave Bayern this summer. AC Milan is also interested in the Dutch midfielder. Die Roten is not actively looking to sell him, but the arrival of one more midfielder in the summer may push Gravenberch toward the exit.
The Dutch midfielder delivered good performances at U-21 Euros. It has been a frustrating debut season for him at Bayern as he struggled to get an adequate amount of game time. He always started on the bench in the Bundesliga under Julian Nagelsmann. Thomas Tuchel handed him few starts in the final two months of the season, but it was overall a disappointing season for the Dutch international.
Gravenberch cannot afford to spend another season on the bench. With the arrival of Konrad Laimer, the competition for the number eight role in the starting XI will be even more intense at Bayern. The Dutch midfielder will hope to get more clarity on his future before the team leaves for the pre-season tour in mid-July.
The former Ajax midfielder remains one of the most exciting midfield talents in Europe. It is a travesty that Bayern struggled to give him adequate playing time last season. Die Roten should send him out on loan instead of giving up on him so quickly.

A solid loan move will make sure that Gravenberch is back in form, and Bayern will be in a better position to get a significant fee next summer if he is not part of their plans. The next few weeks will give more clarity on Gravenberch’s future, but it does look certain that a move to Premier League is looking unlikely right now.
