Man United are likely to cash in on Dean Henderson this summer, in a big money deal.
Changes are afoot at Manchester United. Club ownership remains up in the air, while Erik ten Hag is looking to resolve many dressing room issues in the transfer market.
Goalkeeper is the new number-one priority following the signing of Mason Mount. David de Gea’s contract has expired. He’s now got a real big decision to make.
Andre Onana is being heavily touted as the new number one, while there were initially some shouts for Dean Henderson to be given one final chance. However, that doesn’t seem to be a likely option right now.
In an article detailing the number one spot, the Manchester Evening News have offered some information on Hendeson’s future.
They state that United ‘are expected’ to sell the 26-year-old this summer, with Nottingham Forest ‘prepared’ to pay around £30m to complete a deal to sign the Englishman.
Henderson left United on loan, for Nottingham Forest, on pretty bad terms last summer. He launched a scathing attack on the club as he admitted he wants to play regular football elsewhere. Coming back from that position was always going to be tough.
United have been a pretty horrible club when it comes to selling over the last decade. If United can get anything close to £30m for Henderson, that would be unbelievable business. It’d also top up Ten Hag’s transfer kitty as he looks to bring in a striker as well as a goalkeeper.
Another snippet of information from the MEN claims that United could be open to bringing in two shot-stoppers this summer, which would certainly be interesting.
