Marcus Rashford has already put pen to paper on a new deal, according to the latest information.
Yesterday, we covered a huge claim on the future of Marcus Rashford. The usually reliable Athletic claimed that the Englishman was putting the finishing touches on new terms with his beloved Manchester United.
This deal feels like it has been in the works for at least the last twelve months, dating back to PSG interest in Rashford from last summer. When all was said and done, we just assumed Rashy would choose to stay with his beloved Red Devils.
Well, according to Fabrizio Romano. That’s exactly the case and the key star ‘has signed’ the new deal already, if the Italian’s sources are correct. On top of that, Romano adds that a club statement will follow ‘soon’.
The verbal agreement was reached a month ago, now, it’s all signed and completed, with Rashford putting pen on paper on a deal that does not expire until June 2028.
This is absolutely massive news for the Red Devils. The Englishman will now remain at the club until into his thirties, meaning United will now benefit from Rashford’s best years.
Rashford deserves credit, too. After United’s struggles over the last five years or so, it would have been easy for him to walk away and join another side where trophies are almost guaranteed. Nobody can now doubt his loyalty to the 20-time Premier League champions.
I’m honestly excited to see how it goes for Rashford. He’s flourishing under Erik ten Hag right now and if he can continue to improve, we’re in for a big season for both Rashford and the club on the whole.
