Man United have come to an agreement with Rasmus Hojlund on personal terms, with those details ‘now clear’.
Rasmus Hojlund appears to be the man that Manchester United want to sign. The Dane enjoyed himself in Serie A with Atalanta during the 2022/23 season, with the forward making a real name for himself.
Forget about Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe. Both seem to be too pricey in the current climate. Erik ten Hag identified Hojlund pretty early on and it looks as though United are doing all they can to deliver him to the Dutchman.
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the brewing Hojlund saga, confirming that United’s agreement on personal terms with the potential signing are ‘now clear’. It’s going to be a five-year deal, with the option for a further year, for the forward.
United are set to make an official bid this week, but only for the right price. The Old Trafford club will not entertain the £85m ‘games’ Atalanta are trying to play.
Credit where it’s due. United have made it clear they’re not going to be taken for fools in the market anymore. They will sign Hojlund at a price that’s fair for both clubs, rather than waiting until the last minute and giving into demands.
Hojlund is young, so this move would be considered a gamble. There’s no getting away from that fact. Given time and the right coaching, this could be a genuinely spectacular footballer we have on our hands. I firmly believe Ten Hag is the right man to get the absolute maximum out of him.
What’s most pleasing is that the player himself wants this move to happen. He seems deadset on the idea of becoming a Red Devil. Hopefully, his wish is granted quickly.
