Kobbie Mainoo has left the stadium on crutches, following an injury he picked up against Real Madrid.
Manchester United suffered a poor 2-0 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid yesterday, with Los Blancos simply just playing better than the Red Devils in every aspect.
Erik ten Hag expressed his disappointment with the display after the match. Let’s hope the lads bounce back next time against Borussia Dortmund.
The Old Trafford side were dealt a further blow in the form of injury. Young starlet, Kobbie Mainoo, was pictured leaving the stadium on crutches, with his foot in a protective boot after the game.
Mainoo only lasted three minutes before having to be subbed off with the injury, which is gutting for the young man, who had looked super sharp in pre-season to that point.

The severity of the injury is not yet known. Whether Mainoo will be out for a day, a week or a month, at this point, it’s a mystery.
I’m just gutted for the young man. He doesn’t deserve to have his tour ended like this and if it’s a lengthy problem, it’ll have a knock-on effect that will set him back for the course of the campaign.
This furthers the need for United to sign a new midfielder. The Sofyan Amrabat links suddenly make even more sense, with the man from Morocco seemingly a big target for Ten Hag.
Let’s hope we hear some good news on Mainoo over the course of this week, but right now, I’m not hopeful given the state he was in when he left the pitch last night.
Get well soon, Kobbie!
