Man United still have eyes on Bayern Munich midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch.
Manchester United Football Club are looking to move forward as a club this summer, though there’s a general feeling that players will have to be sold before more money is available to spend.
Erik ten Hag has done a decent job with what has been on offer, though getting rid of those fringe players is proving tough. Hence, it’s making life tough for him when it comes to making signings.
As time wears down in the window, the Old Trafford club are still being linked with players aplenty. The latest report comes from journalist Santi Aouna. He believes United still have eyes on Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch.
According to his sources, the 21-year-old midfielder remains on Manchester United’s ‘list’, though it’s stated that no offer has yet been made to bring in the man from the Netherlands.
United will not have it all their own way, as Liverpool are said to have ‘reactivated’ their pursuit of Gravenberch, while the player is open to a Premier League switch this summer.
Liverpool’s interest should come as no surprise, particularly as they’ve been rejected by a couple of midfielders already this week. It’d be hilarious if Gravenberch was to choose United over Anfield, too.
However, United are still in the predicament where they have to sell before they can buy. I honestly don’t see what players in midfield will be sold for decent fees, in order to generate enough funds to make Gravenberch an obtainable target.
I’d love to see it happen as in terms of player profile, this feels like a smart one. Though time is running out and these types of sales for undesirable fringe players would have already been made.
