A pair of Man United players were named in the latest BBC Team of the Week after the win over Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United’s start to the season has been far from emphatic. The Red Devils haven’t looked up to standard thus far, though there’s some genuinely quality players at the club. No doubt they’ll get it right, eventually.
Two wins from three, given the poor performances, isn’t the worst way to kick things off. Last weekend’s game against Nottingham Forest was certainly eye-opening. The lads found themselves 2-0 down inside five minutes, before mounting a rather miraculous comeback.
Bruno Fernandes, who has come in for some criticism recently, was sublime when it came to chance creation, as was Marcus Rashford. The pair looked back to their brilliant best, which is super encouraging.
For their displays, the United duo was named in the latest BBC Team of the Week after the win over Forest.

If the lads are to have any success this season, Bruno and Rashford will have to be at the forefront. They’re two of the best players in the country and this is the first game of the season where they’ve both played well.
Rashford absolutely needed to move back out wide to play his natural game. It’s no surprise that as soon as he moves back out there, the whole attack just looks to flow better.
Bruno is Bruno. You’re always going to get an intense work ethic and chance creation. Yes, he will try to make things happen and often it doesn’t come off, though we’re absolutely a better team when the Portugal international is in it.
Next up, Arsenal. We’re going to need another masterclass from our attackers yet again.
