Our confirmed MUFC XI for the Premier League away game vs Arsenal is now in…
Manchester United take on Arsenal in less than one hours’ time. The Red Devils have started this season pretty poorly, with Erik ten Hag keen to see a much better display here.
The injuries continue to mount for the Old Trafford side, with several first-teamers out injured until after the international break. It was always going to be intriguing to see how the lads would be set up here, particularly after the deadline day signings. There’s also the news that Rasmus Hojlund is now fit enough to play, bolstering the striker options for the gaffer.
Anyway, after much deliberation, Ten Hag has named his line-up for this one. It feels pretty much as you’d expect, with the aforementioned Hojlund only given a place on the bench. There’s also spots among the subs for Altay Bayindir and Sergio Reguilon for the first time. Hannibal and Dan Gore are in the matchday squad, too.

Andre Onana will start in between the sticks here. I get the impression his shot-stopping ability will be severely tested in this difficult away game.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka plays at right-back against the in-form Martinelli, though I always back the Englishman to do well in this scenario. I’m less confident in Diogo Dalot against Bukayo Saka on the other flank. Victor Lindelof partners Lisandro Martinez at the heart of defence.
Casemiro needs midfield help. He hasn’t been getting that and if that happens again today, we could be in serious trouble. Christian Eriksen plays and I worry about his lack of legs, with Bruno Fernandes completing the midfield trio.
Anthony Martial does lead the line for the Old Trafford club here. On the right-hand side, Antony continues, though with no Jadon Sancho in the squad this was an easy decision. Marcus Rashford plays off the left-wing.
Come on boys!!!
