Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah may have no future under manager Mauricio Pochettino after turning down a deadline day move to Nottingham Forest.
The centre-back was the subject of interest from Steve Cooper’s side on deadline day. They made a proposal of £25m plus add-ons which was accepted, but Chalobah refused to join them.
The Englishman was determined to sign for Bayern Munich on loan earlier in the transfer window, and he was adamant that he did not want to leave for Forest before the transfer window closed.
It is now claimed that Chalobah is fighting for his future at the west London giants. He is deemed surplus to requirements and may not play again until the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
The Blues currently have Thiago Silva, Levi Colwill and Axel Disasi as the senior centre-backs and they have been regular starters from the beginning of the new season with no depth in the squad.
Benoit Badiashile, who is back in training after a long-term hamstring injury, should provide a boost for the Blues in the coming matches.
