Bruno Fernandes bossed it for Portugal over the last week, scoring a perfect 10 rating on WhoScored.
Manchester United have made some failed big-money signings over the years. Paul Pogba is the one that sticks out most to me, though he’s certainly not alone.
One Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signing that has impressed from day one is Bruno Fernandes. The man from Portugal signed from Sporting CP. The club absolutely haven’t looked back since.
Goals, assists, work ethic, leadership. Bruno has brought it all to the table and I couldn’t be happier that he’s our club captain.
Sharing a field, for both club and country, with Cristiano Ronaldo is never easy. However, Bruno is now turning into the shining light.
This international break was arguably his best yet. He’d help his team to two EURO qualifying wins. The first, a 1-0 victory against Slovakia. Bruno would score the only goal. The second, a 9-0 thumping of Luxembourg. Bruno would again find the net once, while adding three(!) assists.
As a result, the United star would score a perfect 10 on the WhoScored rating system, leading the way in this Team of the Round.

Bruno just continues to impress. Just when you think he cannot get any better, he kicks it up a notch. That outside-the-boot assist for Portugal was nothing short of insane. To have the vision to see that pass, then execute it so perfectly, was a thing of beauty.
This is also good for United at club level, as Bruno will return full of confidence and ready to continue to showcase his insane abilities.
We’re going to need him to be at his absolute best if we have any chance of beating Brighton this weekend.
