Jadon Sancho could well be sold in the not-too-distant future, with the Englishman refusing to back down after his first-team exile.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has had some serious issues to deal with to start the season. Mason Greenwood and Antony have been involved in some legal battles. The former will never play for the club again. The latter, who knows when he’ll return?
It felt like the perfect opportunity for Jadon Sancho to grab a hold of a regular place in the side. Instead, he decided to bad-mouth the gaffer on social media. We haven’t seen him utilised since.
Now, talkSPORT claim United are ‘ready to listen to offers’ for the 23-year-old. Apparently, Borussia Dortmund are ‘potentially interested’ in re-signing the Englishman.
It’s claimed that Ten Hag takes no satisfaction from the current impasse. No doubt, as he’d much prefer to have the player available and involved in the action.
As things stand, Sancho has been barred from all first-team facilities at United’s training ground, including the dining room. He must dine alongside academy players right now.
There have also been plenty of social media posts suggesting that Sancho is spending his time playing the new EA football game, rather than working hard to get back into the fold at Old Trafford.
The verdict
I do not see this situation changing anytime soon. Sancho doesn’t look like backing down from his stance while the refusal to apologise isn’t serving him well. It just shows a bad attitude to potential buying clubs. That’s never a good thing. Obviously.
For United, they’re about to take a massive loss on yet another big-money signing. I’m not too disappointed in losing Sancho the player, who has been pretty poor since arriving at the club.
